The heat wave has broken, at least for a bit, and that has allowed for a few more to hit the water. But the question is, how’s the bite?

The heat continues and that has had some impact on the fishing, especially with the number of people going out. Those who did hit the lakes had mixed results.

The key to success lately with the heat has been fishing the weeds. And here’s a technique that can be used when fishing the weeds.

With the warmer water temps, many are switching over to their typical summer presentations to find the walleyes.

The hotter weather hasn’t slowed the bite at all on area lakes and the Missouri River. What it has done has caused many fishermen to go to their typical “summertime” presentations, such as trolling.

Despite the heat, plenty of walleyes are being caught at area lakes and the Missouri River using various techniques. And what about bait care?

With warmer weather, the water temperatures have started to increase and the bite has responded. Plenty of nice walleyes have been caught this week.
