Crappies and bluegills draw some attention on the lake. These are by no means trophy-caliber panfish, but there always seems to be a healthy supply of respectable, eating-size fish to catch.

From an angling standpoint, the lake’s large size should not be intimidating. In fact, it’s a bonus, because the majority of Shetek’s watery acres seem to hold fish.

You will catch plenty of walleyes from Pokegama, too. They come in a wide range of sizes, and the potential for trophy-caliber fish exists.

And don’t disregard the lake’s whitefish. It’s a fishable population, rarely tapped, with good-sized fish.

Koronis is an excellent walleye lake, panfish are abundant and good-sized, it produces quality northern pike, and its bass population – smallmouths and largemouths – is a big draw for local and visiting anglers alike.
