While walleyes and perch are Pike Bay’s bread and butter, the lake also holds some quality northern pike, a few panfish, fishable tullibee and eelpout populations, along with a few muskies.

Most species remained on track to make the lake inside Morrison-Rockwood State Park a popular angler destination.
A person can spend a day or two on this pair of lakes and catch a smorgasbord of panfish and game fish on aesthetically pleasing lakes.
There aren’t a lot of lakes that hold good numbers of quality crappies in the Ely area, but Garden Lake does.
The best panfish bite is happening right now. Springtime panfish move into the shallows to spawn and are easily accessible to anglers.
These days, Hammond Lake not only holds both largemouths and smallmouths, but it holds some nice fish, too.
It’s reportedly not too uncommon to see 5-pound-plus bass come out of Clear Fork.
