Rushford, Minn. The black bear spotted by numerous residents in eastern Fillmore County in southeast Minnesota poses little threat to people or livestock, according to the Minnesota DNR.

Sighting were reported near Bratsburg, about five miles south of Rushford, according to Conservation Officer Dan Book. Similar sightings were reported about 40 miles away, near Elgin, last week. BWCA legend dies at 94

Associated Press Grand Marais, Minn. Resort owner and writer Justine Kerfoot, known for her work in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, has died. She was 94.
