New York DEC acquires Babcock-Hovey Scout Camp along shore of Seneca Lake

Gov. Kathy Hochul’s office and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation both recently announced the state’s acquisition of the 284-acre former Babcock-Hovey Scout Camp.
The acquisition will provides permanent protection for 2,800 feet of Seneca Lake shoreline in the Town of Ovid, Seneca County.
