Junior Hunter Gun, a new hunter training tool, inches closer to reality

A first-time hunter takes aim at a pheasant rising from the cornfield.

He unlocks the safety, presses his cheek against the butt of the gun and smoothly squeezes the trigger.
The sound of a shotgun blast rings in his ears, but no pellets are propelled skyward. Instead, a camera affixed to the barrel of the gun captures the performance of the young hunter and flashes a photo on a built-in video screen. A quick glance lets the youngster know if he hit or missed the target. This futuristic scene has been playing in Conner Couet’s head for months, but very soon his entrepreneurial spirit will help turn an idea into reality.
