I was pleasantly surprised when I had a news release come across my desk recently announcing that the National Deer Association (NDA) is feting our very own deer biologist Mike Tonkovich.
Well, that is the retired Mike Tonkovich, who left the Ohio DNR Division of Wildlife last May after 31 years at the helm of the agency’s deer management efforts.
