September 22, 2025. It is the equinox when the sun is directly over the equator with equal length of day in the northern and southern hemisphere marking the beginning of spring in the southern hemisphere and the start of fall in the northern hemisphere.
“Fall is when a young man’s fancy turns to hunting,” wrote Alfred Lord Tennyson. It’s time to pick up Dad’s shotgun and the beagles to go chasing after rabbits, partridge and turkeys.
