This year’s natural food landscape in Minnesota’s bear country is going to be a different animal from last year, as this season likely will return to a more normal supply of natural bear forage.
“In the northern half of the state, certainly a night-and-day difference from last year. Last year, we had one of the worst food years on record,” said Andy Tri, the DNR’s bear project leader.
