Legislation that would give a state park in southern Minnesota to a local Dakota Indian band and prompt the DNR to find replacement recreational land is now part of a massive environmental bill recently passed by the House.
The legislation is yet to be considered by the Senate. The House omnibus environment bill also contains $5 million for land-replacement purchase and other expenditures.
