One of the last things I did for this edition of New York Outdoor News was to place the sunrise and sunset times in the Fishing Reports. These, by the way, coincide with DEC’s Hunting and Trapping Regulations Guide, at least from September to May. Otherwise we use the Time & Date website. They are also for Albany.
The reason I held out was the anticipation that the U.S. Congress might pass the Sunshine Protection Act, which would make Daylight Savings Time permanent and not warrant turning our clocks back one hour overnight on Saturday, Oct. 31 (Halloween) into Sunday, Nov. 1 in order to observe Standard Time.
Dan Ladd: Looks like we’re turning the clocks back, again
