Being the youngest of five kids, I grew up without a little brother or sister. Well, sort of. When I was very young, our family moved from a village neighborhood out to the country and to the long-time family-owned property where I live today. My Uncle Jim Ladd’s family was right next door and my siblings and I were always close, and still are, with our first cousins. One of them was Jimmy, who was just a few years younger than me.
