British, American Lab traditions converge at Minnesota’s Game Fair 2026

This year marks the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, when the United States separated itself from Great Britain. So it seems like a fitting time to come together on some of the things that separated our nations during that time.
Certainly that founding document never mentioned anything about dogs, and American and British Labs both trace their lineage back to Newfoundland, a British colony, but a century of divergence on opposite sides of the Atlantic shaped them into two distinct types.
