With three weeks down for Ohio’s South Zone wild turkey hunting season – and two weeks for the five-county Northeast Zone, participants were rounding third and heading for home.
By Ohio Outdoor News’ press time, the final numbers for the entire season were not yet available. As far as additional statistics go, turkey hunters checked in 14,886 birds by May 17 for both zones, says the Ohio DNR’s Division of Wildlife.
