Thus far into the spring turkey season, New York hunters and turkeys alike have been dealing with colder-than-average temperatures, and in some cases, wet weather.
The cooler spring pattern, which has plagued anglers as well this season, resulted in some junior hunters and their mentors experiencing below-freezing temperatures, high winds and rain, depending on their location during the April 25-26 youth hunting weekend.
