Trapping tips for catching river otters

Nothing is more pleasing to me than spring otter trapping.
Some of my favorite trapping memories were made in the Northern Adirondack foothills region trapping spring beavers and otters. I long for the day when western New York has an open otter season. Right now, we’re limited to the eastern part of the state.
