Minnesota’s early ice-fishing season so far has been rather lackluster. I’ve been fishing secondary spots close to shore while unable to get to some of the midlake structure that’s normally preferred.
Fishing near-shore breaklines is fairly easy to figure out, and my basic strategy seems to work. Here’s how I do it.
