At heart, really, I’m a waterfowler. And have been for nigh unto some 59 years.
I don’t own a marsh or belong to an exclusive duck-hunting club. Neither has anyone pole-pushed a boat into a bank of reeds where I could shoot, all to the accompaniment of cheering bravos by guides for my expertise with a fowling shotgun. Alright, I’ll be fully honest here. I’ve been on waterfowl hunting trips where all I had to do was shoot ducks on opening day in an Arkansas flooded forest.
