Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever on Nov. 12 applauded the U.S. Congress for reopening the federal government, restoring critical operations for conservation programs across the country.
After 42 days, farmers were set to again receive program payments and conservation technical assistance, furloughed employees nationwide were to return to work, and conservation efforts were to resume on public and private lands.
