Ohio’s outdoors trailblazers: Stories from the Wild Chip Hart’s 30 years in outdoor radio

Chip Hart’s outdoor radio program, The Big Outdoors on 700 WLW, was never intended to be a long-term project.
However, 30 years after its inception on the “nation’s radio station,” The Big Outdoors is still going strong, airing at 5 a.m. on Saturday mornings, the perfect drive time for hunters and anglers alike. Hart, 68, and The Big Outdoors story starts in 1993.
