On Thursday, May 29, the Environment and Natural Resources Working Group reached bipartisan agreement on its budget bill that includes a few policy changes.
As of Outdoor News’ press time Gov. Tim Walz hadn’t called for a special session. But the House and Senate members of the working group anticipate the bill passing without change when it hits their respective floors for final approval.

To kick off this annual event, Morris and Bass Pro Shops are donating more than 40,000 rods and reels to not-for-profit partners that help kids connect to the great outdoors.
With robust walleye and smallmouth bass populations, a good northern pike fishery, and an on-and-off perch fishery, Walloon Lake has a good bit of diversity for anglers upon which to test their skills.
What it doesn’t have is a fishable trout population, despite years of stocking efforts by the DNR to produce such a fishery.
