Input from hunters and results of late fall waterfowl surveys prompted the Ohio DNR’s wildlife division to propose new waterfowl hunting zones for the 2026 to 2030 seasons.
The proposed zone changes will not affect the upcoming 2025-26 duck and goose season, according to an agency press release. Mike Ervin, wildlife biology program administrator for the Division of Wildlife, said federal regulations allow the state to re-zone every five years.
