Trapping convention season about to start in New York, surrounding states

Trapping conventions are not always about trapping gear, or even furs, but are also family-oriented events with plenty of hunting and fishing gear. (Photo by Skyler Rossi)

The trapping convention season is about to arrive and New York is home to several annual trapper events. There are a few others out-of-state.
The first New York show will be the Cattaraugus County Trapper’s Annual Sportsman’s show in Little Valley Aug. 8-10. There is food on site, raffles and an auction on Saturday night. There is both tent and trailer camping available.
