It wasn’t long ago when the best way to introduce youngsters to hunting youngsters to hunting involved a .22 rifle and some squirrels. Or maybe a single-shot shotgun and some cottontails. Today, most kids get their first experiences as actual hunters by way of the spring turkey season.
This is great, but it’s a different animal altogether than taking out even a newbie adult (although some of the same rules apply).
