One of the benefits to being a journalist is you have access to people who know stuff.
Regardless of your job, you are generally dealing with folks who are on their game – the mayor, the football coach, the police chief, etc. But if you spent your career on the hook-and-bullet beat, you can have access to the best hunters and anglers.
