Senators seek rollback of rules for Minnesota deer farms

Legislation would send oversight to the Minnesota Board of Animal Health and reverse fencing requirements. (Stock photo)

The Senate Agriculture, Veterans, Broadband, and Rural Development Committee approved two bills that would undo deer farm-related statutes passed in recent years in Minnesota. The actions send the legislation to the Environment, Climate, and Legacy Committee.
The proposed bills, both introduced by Sen. Nathan Wesenberg, R-Little Falls, would reverse some deer farm regulations that took effect in past few years.
