A few thoughts on making this year’s Ohio deer firearms season a successful one

One of the most anticipated days of the year for thousands of Ohio outdoorsmen and women is here. The 2024 deer firearms season has officially started.
Scores of hunters will take to the woods and fields in hopes of tagging a trophy white-tailed buck or filling the freezer with sweet venison. With all of the excitement and anticipation that comes with the opening day of the deer firearms season, there are a few things to keep in mind in order to make sure that your season is a safe and happy one.
