For southern Minnesota’s Pelzel family, being a volunteer firearms safety instructor runs through their blood as it’s been a family norm passed down for three generations now.
“I would go with dad and grandpa to in-person classes when they were still held here, and I would just sit and listen, and I was always interested. I always told them that when I grew up, I was going to be an instructor, too,” said Alexa Pelzel, a recent high school graduate.
