Know what scrapes are worth hunting over to shoot an October buck

It would be hard to find a whitetail hunter who doesn’t get at least a little excited to find a deer scrape in the woods. While deer use them all year long, the activity around this type of sign ramps up heavily in October.
Those scrapes can be the ticket to filling your archery tag, but there are a few caveats to just what scrapes to hunt, and when.
