There was quite a stir on social media last month regarding Ohio’s stance on baiting for white-tailed deer. This all began when Hunters Advocate of Ohio (HAO) founders Kevin and Javin Mullet were guests on the HUNTR podcast. During the three-hour conversation, HAO was given the floor to not only express their concerns about baiting in Ohio, but how their newfound organization is fighting to get it banned.
I spoke with Kevin Mullet, president of HAO, to provide further context on why he believes baiting needs to go, how HAO plans to see it banned, and the current status of this process.
