Early voting in Minnesota begins on Friday, Sept. 20, and once again Minnesota voters have a chance to support the outdoors when they fill out their ballot.
Or not. As your ballot will clearly state, “Failure to vote on a constitutional amendment will have the same effect as voting no on the amendment.”

Michigan DNR director approves reduced fee of $5 for new late antlerless season license

Michigan Department of Natural Resources Director M. Scott Bowen approved a reduced license fee of $5 for the new extended late antlerless firearm season that will take place from Jan. 2 through the second Sunday in January (Jan. 12 in 2025).
The reduced antlerless licenses can only be purchased for the extended late antlerless season that was established in July 2024 by the state Natural Resources Commission and will expire on the second Sunday in January 2027.

South Dakota artist Adam Grimm wins 2024 Federal Duck Stamp Art Contest

After two days of competition, Adam Grimm of Wallace, S.D., emerged as the winner of the 2024 Federal Duck Stamp Art Contest with an acrylic painting of a pair of spectacled eiders. The announcement was made at an in-person event and via livestream at the Bruce Museum in Greenwich, Conn.   
Grimm’s artwork will be made into the 2025-2026 Federal Migratory Bird Hunting and Conservation Stamp, or Duck Stamp, which will go on sale in late June 2025.
