Wisconsin’s passion for wild turkeys, and turkey hunting, was in full strut in some of the state’s most beautiful turkey habitat in late July.
The Wisconsin Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation celebrated the return of the wild turkey to Wisconsin along with the 50th anniversary of the founding of the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) July 27 at Cabela’s and the Barn Restaurant. The guest speaker was one of the most passionate advocates for the wild turkey, Rob Keck, past executive vice-president of NWTF, now serving as the hunting and conservation ambassador for Bass Pro Shops.
