Ohio youth turkey hunters nearly match last year’s harvest totals

Ohio’s young turkey hunters were largely successful during their special hunt on April 13-14.
Preliminary harvest figures from the ODNR Division of Wildlife showed that Ohio’s young hunters harvested 1,785 birds during the 2024 youth hunt. According to Division of Wildlife biologist Mark Wiley, that total is just a few dozen birds shy of last year’s youth total (1,823).
