Female hunters take three of four deer at Lost Mound Unit hunt in Illinois

Sixteen families participated in the first Family Deer Hunt Nov. 18-19 at Lost Mound Unit in Savanna.
The hunt, hosted by the Upper Mississippi River National Wildlife and Fish Refuge, combined the former Youth Hunt with Illinois’ first weekend of the firearms deer season.
