Steve Carney: Looking back on a strange 2023 bowhunting season for whitetails

What a strange 2023 bowhunting season it was for this hunter!
I reviewed my logbook for the fall deer-hunting season, which revealed that I was in various stands and ground blinds a total of 32 evenings from the September opener through mid-December. I managed to harvest two antlerless deer with my bow, but never had a quality chance for a buck the entire season.
