Commentary: Hunters need input into game Pennsylvania commissioner selections

The author writes that the only way licensed hunters in Pennsylvania will be represented in a legitimate manner is for the legislators to change Pa. Code Title 34 to require that commissioners be elected by licensed hunters rather than through a political appointment process. (Stock photo)

The topic of state legislators involved in Pennsylvania Game Commission issues is not likely to go away until the real issue of the dynamic between hunters in Pennsylvania and the Game Commission is resolved.  
Some claim it is dangerous for legislators to become involved in Game Commission issues and others feel the only way to rein in the agency is through legislation.
