A pair of good Samaritans are being credited with saving a bald eagle that was in peril on Lake Erie.
The bald eagle, who was later found to be Stripes, one of the Avon Lake eagle pair, was in trouble and struggling in Lake Erie. Observers believe the bird went down to get a fish and got pulled under in the high waves.
