Opening-day weather dampens anglers in southern Minnesota

The fishing opener arrived last weekend, and various areas around the state experienced different levels of success based on weather and time of day. National Park Service releases tasing footage of on-water altercation in Minnesota

Officials at Voyageurs National Park have been criticized on social media in the wake of the release of body-camera footage earlier this month that shows the on-water altercation that led two park rangers to tase an Ash River businessman, Justin Ebel, last June.
Ebel operates Ebel’s Voyageur Houseboats. The incident occurred on Lake Kabetogama.

Minnesota’s turkey harvest numbers bounce back after slow start

He said it doesn’t surprise him that harvest numbers are higher than normal for seasons C and D because of inclement weather during seasons A and B.
