Little Juniata River (Huntingdon County) Water was a little off-color but a nice level May 24. Temperature was in the 50s. Slate Drakes and a few sulphurs were still hatching, and Green Drakes were seen. Nymphing with sulphurs or caddis larvae was productive. Penns Creek (Mifflin County) Blown-out conditions were reported May 23, with temperatures in the 50s. Green Drakes were everywhere. In fishable conditions, anglers were doing well nymphing Green Drakes along with their favorite stonefly pattern, or working streamers near the bank. Southwest Pennsylvania Fishing Report – June 8th, 2012

Allegheny River (Allegheny County) The Kilbuck access area and Emsworth lock were yielding nice walleyes on creek chubs through May 25. Dawn and dusk were prime times. Smallmouth bass and flathead catfish were reported near the Deer Creek access area. Monongahela River (Allegheny County) Small flathead catfish and gar were reported near Southside access area.
