Winona, Minn. An overabundance of deer at Great River Bluffs State Park near Winona and a low number of requests for special hunt permits for the park has prompted the DNR to extend the availability of special hunt permits to any hunters who have valid 3

Park manager John Wilzbacher said 100 permits for the antlerless-only hunt were made available, but as of last week, fewer than 20 hunters obtained one for the special hunt. The hunt will be held Nov. 20-22 and Nov. 26-28. If you have a valid 3B license, you may request a permit at the park headquarters
