U.S. Forest Service proposes permit cancellation changes for Minnesota’s Boundary Waters

The U.S. Forest Service is proposing changes to its Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness permit cancellation policy that officials say would make more unused permits available to the public and provide greater certainty for outfitters and other businesses that depend on wilderness visitors.
