Posted on August 9, 2012

STARBUCK AREA

Nightcrawlers have been the ticket for walleyes on Lake Minnewaska in 10 to 12 feet. Sunfish action has picked up on the Starbuck and Glenwood ends of Minnewaska in the eight- to 14-foot weeds. Bass and northern pike remain an easy catch on the weedlines of most lakes.

WILLMAR AREA

Green Lake continues to provide the best walleye action on crawlers during the day in 20 to 30 feet or crankbaits during low-light periods in eight to 20 feet. Sunfish are hitting in the six- to 12- foot weeds of lakes Andrew, Florida, Eagle, Diamond, Nest, and Green. Northern pike also can be had on the weedlines of Andrew, Florida, Eagle, and Diamond with spinnerbaits or crankbaits.
