The night walleye bite on Lake Erie has been off the charts and northeast Ohio steelheading is going well, too.

Small sucker minnows are awesome baits for walleyes this time of year.

On a recent fishing outing, this Pennsylvania angler first caught an 18-inch sauger and then a 27-inch walleye – it weighed 9-1/2 pounds. “I was ecstatic about that,” he said of those two fish, likely

The weather definitely has turned to more winter-like, but plenty of trophy walleyes are being caught.
