Winter defintely put the smack-down on fishing this past week with the heavy snow and strong winds. Getting around on area lakes has defintely gotten tougher after the snowfall, but not impossible.

A jury trial date has also been set for a North Dakota man charged in connection with a waterfowl-hunting incident caught on camera last fall.
Warmer and more stable weather definitely helped to improve the bite around the area this week. Ice conditions pretty much remain unchanged even with the warmer weather and the rain.
