Look for fair to good salmon action at the dam here to continue with more and more brown trout in the mix.

Today, guys reported a nice skein-and-bead bite at the dam, with some guys hanging in for a day’s effort, getting multiple hookups.

Fishing pressure should amp up toward the upcoming holiday weekend.

Night time temps have been dropping back so water temps are at least not spiking hot. So as much as we’d like to see a more serious cool-down with some precipitation to fire up the

There’s been some good staging salmon action in 40 to 60 feet of water.

Lately, some of (but not all) the best big fish action has been for likely staging salmon in 80 – 120 feet of water.

For the past weekend, most boaters headed offshore looking for scattered salmon and stable conditions. What they generally found was a really good steelhead bite.

Here we are in the late summer open-lake trolling season, and big kings are being netted both offshore and near shore.

Mixed bag chances are good, and there are definitely some big, mature kings coming over the gunwales.
