There continues to be good and unharried action here in the Oak waters off Point Breeze..

Think steelhead in the Oak and browns in the near shore Lake Ontario waters.

Flows here should be the calling card for any fresh spring steelhead migrations, especially as water temps go back on the rise.

By steelhead standards, the smallest tribs like Marsh are probably in good, slightly high and stained flows right now.

Fishing pressure has fallen off thanks to the weather, but for any angler willing to hack the conditions there are pretty good opportunities for steelhead hookups, especially in the Oak.

The smaller area tribs should have some brown trout re-distributed and a few fresh steelhead, too.

Good-looking steelhead are showing up here, with still some browns and Kings hanging on.

Dropping and slightly clearing flows are typically a good recipe for action so look for chances at fresh steelhead and a mix of browns moving up or post spawn fish dropping back here.
