Some good browns are coming nearer shore at mid-depths, and on different days, there’s good salmon action there, too.

As a whole the big lake open-water action for area waters is somewhat mixed.

Orleans County waters are reportedly setting up nicely.

Solid salmon action reported again after getting back out there for the end of the past weekend and so far this week.

Salmon and trout are reportedly holding between 50-90 feet of water with a good spoon and meat rig bite.

Rec and small-craft anglers are seeing mid-depth trout and salmon action.

Look for the previously good mid-depth action for kings and deeper laker action to hopefully set back up.

The good numbers of mid-sized kings has not gone away here and hefty lakers and browns are filling in the mixed-bag catches.

One charter staying in home port said the fishing at the Oak is great.
