Good brown trout action reported here.
Upcoming peak in spawning should bring on more brown trout migrations.
There are good to strong numbers of kings in the Oak from the dam to the downstream frog water.
Some browns and steelhead and Atlantics already reported in the catches, so for this early in the season, that’s an excellent sign for things yet to come.
For the tributary action, look for rivermouth and downriver action first followed by later-on upstream fast-water action. Consistent cool weather and good water flows are usually the ticket for things to get going.
Both the charters and rec anglers have been doing well here.
Mature kings are being found anywhere from 40 fow out to 550 fow in this area.
More boaters are heading farther off shore, too, finding some action spread out there now.
