Conditions are good for fresh steelhead migrations here.

Look for good late-winter and springtime fresh steelhead action ahead.

There are a few anglers each day working the water, mainly at the dam, hooking up on what’s probably the resident recycled steelhead there.

A few anglers are scoring steelhead hook-ups at the dam each day on mostly small and light bait presentations.

With long, light, and subtle presentations of small jigs or bait, the residing steelhead here will turn on and off for some hook-up action.

Nice flows had made for good steelhead action in the Oak and even opened up flows in the other area tribs.

The steelhead action by winter-time standards has been good.

Some hunkered post-spawn browns, kings and steelhead can provide on-and-off action for light line-drifters.

Different successful techniques in use – fly, spin or float for spawning and post spawn browns and fresh steelhead.
