Throughout the country, millions of kids, from fourth-graders to high school seniors, have participated safely in the program.
Nearly 1,600 students from 83 schools competed in the 2017 State High School Archery Tournament, March 31 to April 1, in Duluth. Participants included elementary through high school students.
This year, a record 614 archers competed in the North Dakota National Archery in the Schools Program state bull’s-eye tournament, a 15 percent increase from the mark set last year.
The 2017 event, the 12th in Nebraska, saw a record 802 registered archers and 2,000 spectators.
Top finishers will advance to national tournament.
Nearly 3,050 archers from 87 schools participated in Iowa’s National Archery in the Schools Program after school league from Dec. 1 to Feb. 18.
Archers from 82 schools will be shooting for $8,000 in scholarships and other prizes and a chance to go to nationals May 11-13 in Louisville, Ky.
