Walleyes and saugers have been setting up nicely in their late fall spots along the south shore for ice anglers when the time comes.

Fall walleye fishing on LOW brings a nice mixed bag. Walleyes, saugers, pike, jumbo perch and an occasional crappie or sturgeon have been caught by walleye anglers. As a rule, 15 – 25 feet of

Anchored up and jigging with fatheads and frozen shiners is working well.

On the Rainy River, a great week of walleye fishing, despite some weather systems moving through.

Nice reports from Long Point, to Zippel Bay to Morris Point Gap over to Lighthouse Gap.

With cooling water, most anglers are catching fish anchored up and jigging with fatheads and frozen shiners.

Various techniques are still proving effective in catching, but as water temps cool, jigging will be the desire of walleyes and has been successful this past week.

More and more walleyes in the river this week.
